Market Analog Engine · Early Access

The market has been here before.

"History doesn't repeat itself — but it often rhymes."

ORION finds the historical moments that look most like right now — same price pattern, same macro backdrop — and shows you exactly what happened next.

How it works

A search engine
for market history.

ORION converts every trading day into a state vector — price shape, volatility, momentum, and cross-asset macro signals — then searches history for the closest matches and shows you the full distribution of outcomes.

01 — PATTERN
Price shape matching
Dynamic time warping on the last 60 days of normalized returns finds periods with the same structural shape — compression, trend, volatility signature.
02 — REGIME
Macro fingerprint
8 cross-asset signals — Gold/Copper ratio, DXY, real yields, credit spreads, VIX term structure, yield curve, and more — ensure the macro backdrop genuinely matches.
03 — ANALOGS
Closest historical matches
The 5 most similar historical moments surface — with their full forward outcome distributions, drawdown profiles, and regime context.
04 — CONTEXT
Not a prediction — a distribution
See the range of what happened next: consensus path, scenario split (continuation / sideways / reversal), and base rate comparison.

What you see

Three views.
One complete picture.

Pattern Overlay
All analog historical paths overlaid on the current chart — normalized to converge at today. Forward projections fan out as dashed lines. Consensus band shows the median + interquartile range.
CHART
Historical View
A zoomed-out 5-year price chart with every analog window highlighted simultaneously — the TradingView fractal overlay you've always wanted. See exactly where in history each match occurred.
FRACTAL OVERLAY
Macro Radar
Radar chart comparing current macro regime vs each analog's conditions at time of match. 8 dimensions: Gold/Copper, DXY, real yields, credit, VIX term structure, yield curve, and more.
CROSS-ASSET
Outcome Table
Full forward return data for every analog — 5d, 10d, 20d, max drawdown — vs unconditional base rate. How did these specific setups perform, vs any random 20-day period?
STATISTICS
Scenario Split
How many of the analog outcomes went up, sideways, or down? A visual probability split — Continuation / Sideways / Reversal — so you see the distribution at a glance.
PROBABILITY
Dual Match Score
Every analog gets two scores: a price similarity score and a macro similarity score. Not just "this chart looked similar" — but "the macro backdrop was also genuinely comparable."
SCORING

"Not a prediction engine. A context engine. The goal is to understand where you are — not to pretend you know exactly where you're going."

ORION · Design philosophy

Cross-asset regime layer

The macro signals
traders actually use.

Price alone is not enough. Two periods can look identical on a chart but resolve completely differently if the macro backdrop diverges. ORION's regime layer uses the signals macro traders watch on Twitter every day — now built into the analog match engine.

Gold / Copper
Risk appetite ratio. Copper = industrial optimism. Gold = fear. Ratio tells you which is winning.
DXY Trend
Dollar direction changes everything for commodities, EM, and risk assets. Included as a percentile rank.
Real Yields (TIPS)
The single biggest driver of gold and growth equity valuations. High = tight conditions.
Credit Spreads
HYG spread. When credit stresses, equity patterns resolve differently. An early warning layer.
VIX Term Structure
VIX vs VIX3M. Contango = complacency. Backwardation = fear. The market's own volatility positioning.
2s10s Yield Curve
Curve slope as a regime signal. Steep = growth. Flat/inverted = late cycle caution.
TLT / SPY Ratio
Bonds vs equities rotation. Rising = flight to safety. Falling = risk-on conviction.
Growth / Value
IWF/IWD relative performance. Regime signal for factor rotation and duration sensitivity.

Positioning

Not a backtest tool.
Not a signal generator.

ORION answers a different question than anything else on the market. "What does this setup historically resolve to?" — not "does my rule have edge?"
